«Cara&Co – Synergy of Art&Fashion» Project has started with an exhibition in Paris! See the report.

On the evening of March 5, the lobby of the Le Meurice hotel on Rue Rivoli was noisy. The cocktail party marking the opening of “Cara&Co - Synergy of Art&Fashion” drew over 300 people: members of the business elite and art and fashion circles of Paris, Moscow, and beyond, as well as the international designers involved in the project, clients of the legendary concierge service Quintessentially, Moscow socialites in Paris for Fashion Week, as well as reporters from various international media outlets (print, Internet and television).

Every year the Vendome Luxury salon, which offers a collection of premium brands from around the world, holds an avant-garde exhibition that always receives rave reviews in the media. This season the salon invited “Cara&Co - Synergy of Art&Fashion” to participate, resulting in 20 pieces. Cara&Co invited 11 world famous fashion designers to create art objects demonstrating the fine line between art and fashion: each designer was to create an article of clothing and a wall-mounted art object. There were no barriers on the designers’ imagination; Cara&Co only asked that each object be worthy of being in a museum. And their creations were, in fact, displayed at the “Cara&Co - Synergy of Art&Fashion” exhibition.

The exhibition, which opened in Paris on March 5, ran through March 7. But that was just the beginning: after Paris, the exhibition will travel to Moscow (it is expected to open in Moscow in May), and then to Sydney, where the second Cara&Co concept store will open this summer.

At the end of the tour, the art objects created for the project will be auctioned for charity. All proceeds from the auction will go to The Sound World. Anyone who wants to contribute to the fund now can donate via PayPal on their web site, www.thesoundworld.org.
