Jayson Brunsdon showed his first collection in Feburary 2004 at Australian Fashion Week. Back then his teacher Peter Morrissey, a veteran of the Australian fashion scene, said straight away that Brunsdon showed promise. Admittedly, there were some people who believed this only when all the Australian stars (including Naomi Watts and Kylie Minogue), top model Linda Evangelista and Danish Crown Princess Mary, who appeared in a dress by him at the Annual Red Cross ball, started wearing Jayson Brunsdon. Everyone was astonished — how on earth could that have happened? The Danish royal house is dressed by royal tailors and if any allowances are made, then only for world-famous brands.
